Are You Eating Enough of These??

Real Simple just came out with a list of the “30 Healthiest Foods” and I wanted to share them with you!  Here it is:

  • Mushrooms
  • Walnuts
  • Whole-Grain Pasta
  • Peanut and Nut Butters
  • Oatmeal
  • Barley
  • Quinoa
  • Lentils
  • Bulgur
  • Almonds
  • Eggs
  • Nonfat Greek Yogurt
  • Chicken Breasts
  • Wild Salmon
  • Sardines
  • Kale
  • Kiwi
  • Blueberries
  • Broccoli
  • Avocados
  • Black Beans
  • Sweet Potatoes
  • Extra-Virgin Olive Oil
  • Edamame
  • Chard
  • Kidney Beans
  • Oranges
  • Spinach
  • Pumpkin
  • Skim Milk

The bolded items are ones that I eat on a regular basis.  But I definitely want to try out some new ones like Barley, Quinoa, Kale, and Chard.  I say we all try and add at least 3 to our routine diets!  What do you think?  If you need help finding recipes for anything new let me know, I have all the time in the world to research it for you!
